Project name: Compete Egypt
To prepare and develop a set of plans and training programs in the field of career guidance.
Contract Value: 200,000.00 EGP
Main objectives:
- Conducting a comparative study of vocational guidance and counselling systems and preparing it in Arabic in electronic and printed form (in addition to preparing a summary in English).
- Develop a plan for the implementation of the vocational guidance and counselling system in technical education and vocational training schools
- Preparing a model to determine the needs of the labour market and implementing a set of discussion sessions between representatives of employers and vocational and technical education schools to discuss the competencies and qualifications required in the labour market . The form will be prepared in Arabic (and an abstract will be prepared in English)
- Experimenting with a pilot model for the vocational guidance and counselling system in selected schools and evaluating the results

To build the capacity of MOL staff to provide better Career guidance services to the Egyptian youth in 7 Governorates

Main Objectives :
- Increase participants’ knowledge about the career guidance concept and the role of career guidance.
- Enhancing the efficiency of participants in providing services related to the identification of different paths in career guidance.
- Know the basic tasks and responsibilities of those in charge of career guidance services.
- Providing participants with the ability and skills to design exercises for vocational guidance and counselling
- Providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to help job seekers with disabilities.
- Providing them with the skill of searching for information on available job opportunities and developing research tools in vocational guidance and green professions.

Project name and goal:
Soft skills training to build career resilience for future female technicians working in the technical field in secondary technical schools in Cairo and Alexandria.
Contract Value: 80,000.00 EGP
Main objectives:
- Provide soft skills training for female youths to acquire the needed skill set and facilitate their transition to the technical sector.
- Topics might include, but are not limited to, prejudices and gender stereotypes, coping with adversity, communication styles, and socializing in the workplace.
Details of implementation are:
- The target group is around 204 female students currently enrolled in two technical public secondary schools specializing in electrical maintenance in Cairo (ElectroMisr Applied Technology School) and Alexandria (El-Wardian School).
- Student classification:
– ElectroMisr: Second and Third Grade (total of 44 students)
– El Wardian: Second and Third Grade (total of 160 students)
Gender and age group: between 16- and 17-year-old female students
- Consultancy shall be carried out on 6 days (two days in Cairo and four days in Alex)
- The target group is around 204 female students currently enrolled in two technical public secondary schools specializing in electrical maintenance in Cairo (ElectroMisr Applied Technology School) and Alex.

Providing Capacity Development on the Implementation of Job Fairs

The Main Objective:
To organize and provide capacity development training (4 days) to different stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) (30 participants), to enhance the skills of participants and support them with the essential knowledge about job fairs’ organization, starting with developing the training curriculum
The second objective was to develop and disseminate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for organizing job fairs.
The main objectives:
- Provide a training curriculum about different relevant topics for job fairs
- Organize one training session (30 participants) in Greater Cairo
- Develop and disseminate SOPs on organizing job fairs

The project Name:
Capacity Building for Social Inclusion (Gender and Disability Friendly Conduct)
Reference: Y4F/GD/EGY/22 (phase one)
Contract Value: 326.318.40 EGP
The main objective:
Was to build the capacity of local YCs to become inclusive community centers that are capable of serving diverse groups of youth, including young women, youth with disabilities and young refugees and migrants with different nationalities, included the following tasks and deliverables:
- Carrying out a desk review with a focus on ILO’s literature and curricula that covers the topics of gender, disability and social inclusion.
- Developing training curricula adapted from the ILO’s literature and targeted at YCs.
- Producing audio-visual and printed materials that supplement the training curricula.
- Delivering four training workshops for YCs in four governorates and managing associated logistical arrangements.
- CAT organized and delivered the training for 80 participants from MoYS in 4 governorates (Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Damietta, and Qalubia).
